Welcome!

Whether you are a newcomer or have been here for many years, we welcome you and your family to our church family to The Union Congregational Church of Groton. 

We hope that your children will enjoy coming to Sunday School and learning on Sunday mornings and that you will make regular Sunday worship a priority. In doing so, much of what they learn about God, the Christian faith and worship they will learn through example from family at home-from you. As a parent you are teaching all the time, but you are not alone; you are part of the Body of Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit - we all help each other to grow closer to God.

The Christian education Committee (C.E.) serves as an umbrella and partner for all Christian Education groups in the church including the nursery on Sunday morning, church school, youth group and bible study. The C.E. acts as a liason to each group in order to serve and support them in their mission and creates "Policies and Procedures" as required., with their help. Our Committment is to empower those who minister in education programs, and through our shared efforts, encourage faith development, Christian values, and a love of the gospel and the world, in each member
in church.
