In 2007, the Union Congregational Church of Groton had the opportunity to start an English Handbell Choir.  Through fundraising and other donations, a 3 octave set of Schulmerich bells were purchased and our bells began to ring!

Our Handbell Choir, known as “The Faith Ringers” consists of 11-15 people ranging in age and musical ability.  The choir rings 8 - 10 times during services over the course of the church year.  It also rings for other local churches and at community events and attends area workshops when available.

We rehearse on Monday nights from 7:30 until 9:00 in the sanctuary. No prior musical experience is necessary to ring handbells, but a good sense of rhythm, and the desire to be with a fun group are essential. New members are always welcome!
